Description

Our rear end is marketed towards the guys that have found the limit of their supra’s ass end and are looking at an alternative, or for guys that are keen to race their car, and want to get off the line properly, without having the issues associated with an IRS setup. An IRS cannot plant the wheels to the ground like a 4-link can, no matter what bars, arms or springs/shocks you use, it just cant transfer weight like a 4-link. Period. If you race your car and you have high horsepower, you need this.

Remove the bulky and heavy IRS, and replace your whole rear end with our bolt-in Supra rear. Gives you an adjustable Instant Centre, to get you off the line consistently and fast, being able to smash those slicks/radials into the ground, not possible with an IRS rear. Comprises of a braced, bulletproof heavy duty  9″ floater housing, floater axles, 4-link suspension and your choice of 4 different coil over set ups to suit your budget, which can be upgraded later. Chromoly  Bolt-In Anti-Roll Bar, to keep your rear wheels planted, which can be removed for street duties very easily, and now features a chromoly wishbone setup, with billet mounts at the diff end, to stop the sideways movement of your new housing. The ultimate in lightweight, tough rear for the MKIV Supra.

All this is mounted and packaged into a chromoly cradle, that bolts up to the factory IRS mounts. It is truly a bolt-in deal, that if for some bizarre reason you wanted to change it back to original at some point, you could. You won’t. Ever. But you could.

Allows you to have a tuffer looking offset, with a deep dish. Also available to suit standard type offset wheels, for the guys/girls that already have a weld or similar type wheel to suit their current IRS setup.

4-link bars are available with street ( bushed ) rod ends, or heim joints. The street ones are rated to suit high horsepower, up to around 1200hp ATW , any higher and we would suggest going with Heim joints. The lower 4-link bar can be upgraded for the guys running huge horsepower, we don’t think you will outgrow the 1-1/4″ X 0.095″, but 1-3/8″ X 0.095″ lower bars are an option. We offer the kit in floater axles only. (from 7.50 and quicker, floater axles will be required ) . We use and recommend ‘Race Products’ Floater kits. Available as 35 or 40 spline.

Wheel Studs are available in 1/2″, 5/8″ and M14 in floater kit/axles. (5/8″ will be put in as standard)

Kit comes standard with a 35 spline Race Floater Kit with Willwood Discs/Calipers/Handbake, 5 X 4.5″ P.C.D. , Willwood calipers, Strange Single Adjustable Shocks and ‘Street’ Rod Ends, however you can option it up, by choosing one of the following. 

  • Strange single adjustables. (comes standard)
  • Strange double adjustables.
  • Double Adjustable Ultra Series Drag Race Coil Overs with Inline Reservoir.
  • Or for the ultimate, big horsepower race Supra, Double Adjustable Ultra Series Drag Race Coil Overs with External Reservoir.
  • Race Floater Kit with Race Discs/Wilwwod Calipers and no handbrake. (-$400)
  • The ‘standard’ kit comes with either a 12.19″ disc or an 11″ disc. 11″ disc is needed if you run double beadlock wheels.

Kit comes with a set of chromoly chassis connectors, that will require two holes to be drilled.

Powdercoating will be black unless specified. Available raw if you would like to get your own done. (-$300.00). Other colours than black will need extra time to be done.

Comes complete with Brake Lines and brackets, please let us know if you have standard brakes and we will supply the lines to hook up to the willwoods. NOTE- Your brakes will work with the Willwoods, it will however throw up a light on your dash. If it is for a race car, and you are running an all new brake set-up (no ABS) we will run a brake line along the diff and put a tee piece for you to hook your new brake line into.

Comes with all bolts/crush tubes/washers etc. It is a COMPLETE Kit.

All products used are of the highest quality. we will not use a cheaper/inferior option. Housings are Strange Engineering. Axles/Floaters are Race Products. Brake lines/Diff Fill/Drain are Speedflow. All products used are either Australian or US.

These kits are a custom designed kit. They are a high end product. Diffs will not be started nor any parts purchased before a deposit is paid. Our standard policy is that any custom part made or bought must be paid for in full. No exceptions. We understand that it is a big decision to purchase this rear end. Please ask questions before purchase.

NOTE– Our suggestion would be to go with the axles in 35 spline, with at least the double adjustable shocks. This will future proof your car, as it is easy to upgrade your shocks at a later date.

PLEASE NOTE, THIS DOES NOT COME WITH A CENTRE. YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN. YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO MODIFY YOUR TAILSHAFT TO SUIT.
